Greetings fellow Survivors and Adoptees, and extended community members,

Summer message from the board The Sixties Scoop Healing Foundation’s volunteer Board of Directors is pleased to announce the appointment of new board member, Michael Christian.

The Foundation has recruited new Board member Michael to fill a vacant position to headline the Foundation’s service of Sixties Scoop Survivors. Mr. Christian is a Sixties Scoop Survivor and a proud Splatsin te Secwepemc (formerly known as Spallumcheen Indian Band) First Nation member and was Kukpi7 (Chief) for two terms Mr. Christian serves his Nation and has been a leader for Indigenous services which comprises of program and policy development in education, governance and law (Indigenous and Non-Indigenous), natural resources, cultural resources, information and communication technology.  With over 20 years of experience in education which paralleled and complimented my experience with administration.

I am looking forward to applying my skills and experience towards working with the Sixties Scoop Healing Foundation as Director to assist with our collective healing path moving forward. Kukwstsámc! (Thank You)
